No More Fashion “To Die For”

Eco-fashion house: Ministry of Tomorrow

Many animals killed for leather experience the cruel and gruesome treatment that is typical of factory farming. No animals were slaughtered in the production of Ministry of Tomorrow bags in contrast to the global leather industry that slays over one billion animals each year.

The new Vegan Bag collection is produced at the Ministry of Tomorrow’s fair wage, eco-factory in Nairobi, Kenya. The design is clean and chic with an Afro-funk Maasai warrior inspired interior. “The significance of the design in this collection makes a statement that says we are fighting back, from the inside, and we do this by providing consciences people a high quality alternative to leather,” said Julian Prolman, Founder and President of Ministry of Tomorrow.

We wanted to learn more about the Founder of the company Julian Prolman and his thoughts behind creating this company.

My name is Julian Prolman and I am the founder and president of the company.

I built the factory seven years ago right outside of Kibera, one of Africa's largest slums. We wanted to show the world that with the same access to tools, the most unimaginable place on the planet could create a product on par with Milans notables. Our factory has changed the lives of so many people involved in the creation of our bags. We use the highest quality organic and cruelty free materials. We have a new story for the fashion world, one that empowers people, saves animals and protects the environment.
