Who are you?

My name is Jordan Brompton, co-founder and CMO of myenergi. Day-to-day, I direct the sales and marketing departments, leading business development and driving corporate partnerships. In short, I’m responsible for myenergi becoming a globally acclaimed brand, renowned for a range of first-to-market products that challenge convention and pave the way to a more sustainable future.

What did you do?

Myenergi is renowned for pioneering zappi – the world’s first EV charger capable of harnessing 100% renewable energy. zappi diverts power generated by solar panels or a domestic wind turbine to power your electric vehicle, giving you complete energy independence. Currently, more than one in ten EV chargers installed in the UK is a zappi. But zappi is just the start. Our wider product range includes eddi, a device that diverts surplus renewable energy to your hot water cylinder, underfloor heating, towel rail or storage heater. Our harvi and hub devices connect myenergi technologies to the internet and mean our products can work alongside other energy technologies, such as battery storage.

From our humble beginnings, the vision of myenergi has always been simple – to create a positive impact and change the world through pioneering green technology. I am the first to admit that building myenergi from the ground upwards hasn’t been easy.  From personal injury and the premature birth of my daughter, to navigating Brexit, tackling component shortages, facing growth challenges and now the COVID-19 pandemic, our journey hasn’t been a smooth ride. However, we’ve taken risks, overcome obstacles and learnt from our mistakes. Perseverance and a desire to be successful have seen us come out stronger than ever, delivering record profits and increasing our staff numbers by 300% over the past year alone.

When did you co-found the business?

I co-founded myenergi in 2016, alongside my business partner Lee Sutton. While our vision has no limits, our goal is to become the go-to household name for innovative, pioneering eco technologies – used, respected and trusted by homeowners worldwide.

Why are you innovating with your products?

Humanity is at a crossroads. From what we eat and what we wear, to how we travel and how we live, ensuring there’s a planet left for our great-grandchildren requires fundamental change – and it’s up to all of us to take up the gauntlet! Climate change, emissions, carbon footprint and the ozone layer – not new words, but ones that have been ignored for far too long.We see innovation as a key enabler in this journey – an opportunity to embrace the future. We want to equip households to make a difference, providing energy independence and leading-edge green energy technology. To that end, innovation is critical in delivering new technologies that can provide meaningful change. Our products have already disrupted a hugely competitive market, providing a fresh approach that drives, rather than follows.

Where is the company located?

The myenergi headquarters is located in the United Kingdom. However, our products are sold worldwide, and we have subsidiaries in Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands.
